Rules: A total of 22 competitors may take part in the competition. If there is a higher number of entrants the organiser will carry out a pre-selection based on the CVs and recordings sent with the application. Prize winners (organ) of an EMCY Member Competition which took place in the three years preceding the competition qualify automatically for the competition.
There are 2 age categories. Younger competitors may compete in the higher age category. All competitors awarded a minimum of 80 of the 100 possible points in the 1st stage will qualify for the second stage. In the second stage the competitors compete for one of the prizes. The points from both stages will be added together and divided by two.
Jury decisions are final. A jury member is not allowed to give a score for a competition appearance of a student or relative.
Prize winners must perform in the prize winner concert or they will forfeit their prize. Competitors waive the right to remuneration for audio/video recordings.

Money prizes (1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes in each age category) plus special prizes including concert invitations.In 2007:

In each group only one 1st, one 2nd and one 3rd prize may be awarded. Prizes are not shared. The jury has the right to withhold prizes. In addition to the money the winners receive a diploma and the rest of the participants receive a certificate of merit. The jury may confer special awards.
Application: The application form can be downloaded on TEMSIG’s website. It should be sent by the deadline with:
- copy of the birth certificate or passport
- short curriculum vitae and two photographs
- 20 -30 min demo-tape (CD, MD, DVD) – doesn't apply to prizewinners (organ) of a competition that is member of the European Union of Music Competitions for Youth (EMCY) which took place in the past 2 years.
Background: The first European Organ Competition for Youth was organized in Ljubljana in 1989 and has been organized by TEMSIG every three years since.

Senior group – from 17 to 25 years of age
1st prize – the Golden Violin – 10000 PLN
2nd prize – the Silver Violin – 7000 PLN
3rd prize – the Bronze Violin – 4000 PLN
4th prize – the Bronze Violin – 3000 PLN
5th prize – the Bronze Violin – 2000 PLN
Apart from the prizes stipulated in the regulations, private persons and institutions may award other prizes.
