Rules: There are no restrictions in respect of the status of the participant, such as education, nationality etc.

Prizes: The prize fund of 20000 € is divided as follows:
- Category A – 3500 €
- Category B – 5500 €
- Category C – 7000 €
- Grand Prize – 4000 €
Application: The application form and audio or video recording must be sent by post (date as postmark) before the application deadline with:
- a photo (10 x 15cm) of the participant for the competition booklet
- copy of the participant’s birth-certificate
- copy of the payment document confirming remittance of 50 % of the entrance fee
Without the advance payment applicants cannot be included in the selection round. This payment cannot be refunded, even if the participant is not selected. The entrance fee is 100 EUR.
The order of pieces in the application must be the order of performance in the competition. The audio or video recording must contain two pieces (chosen by the participant), including an etude. These pieces do not have to be played at the competition.

Background: The competition was founded in 1995 and has consistently grown and become more international. The competition participants also profit from a cultural programme in the beautiful city of St Petersburg.

3rd prize – the Bronze Violin – 4000 PLN
4th prize – the Bronze Violin – 2000 PLN

Senior group – from 17 to 25 years of age
1st prize – the Golden Violin – 10000 PLN
2nd prize – the Silver Violin – 7000 PLN
3rd prize – the Bronze Violin – 4000 PLN
4th prize – the Bronze Violin – 3000 PLN
5th prize – the Bronze Violin – 2000 PLN
Apart from the prizes stipulated in the regulations, private persons and institutions may award other prizes.
