Rules: The competition is open to pianists and instrumentalists of any nationality. Each candidate may opt for only one individual category. Candidates may not present themselves in the same category in which in previous editions they have obtained a First Mention or a First Prize.

Special prizes:
Participants who obtain First Mention will receive a voucher given by ERVITI.
The “Enrique Lartundo Foundation” will give three scholarships of EUR 650 to the three best participants from Gipuzkoa.
Application: To be submitted by the competition deadline:
- Application form completed in full
- Two recent passport size photographs of each participant.
- One photocopy of an official identity card passport of each participant.
- A self-addressed envelope of the participant who does the registration.
- Higher level and 4 Hands Higher: Detailed Curriculum Vitae including musical training, teachers, grades and/or awards.
- A document which accredits the payment of the inscription

Background: The competition began in 1994, thanks to the initative of Laurentino Gómez Beldarrain, a piano teacher at the School of Music and Dance of San Sébastian and of Rosa Zarate Gallego, the director of Noroabe, a private music school.
Both of them founded the Association for Piano Promotion “Ciudad de San Sébastian”, which has had the support from the town hall of the city and Kutxa since then. Nowadays numerous private and public firms also finance it. Read more
