For several years now EMCY has been organising a chamber music tour with high talented young prize winners from our Member Competitions through southern Bavaria and Austria. This tour is dedicated to the “European Days of Music” of the Bavarian Music Council; a highlight is the annual concert within the festival “European Weeks Passau”, this year in the Great Redoutensaal in Passau, which will be broadcast by Bavarian Radio.

For the first few days of the tour the musicians work on these pieces together at a boarding school in the Alps. Here they come in to contact with the pupils and also give a concert for them at the end of their stay. Afterwards they start their tour through southern Bavaria and Austria.

In 2010 the young, talented musicians are:

Matouš Michal, violin (Czech Republic) Šimon Michal, violin (Czech Republic)	prize winners of the International Radio Competition for Young Musicians "Concertino Praga", the National Radio Competition of the Czech Republic "Concertino Praga" and the International Kocian Violin Competition
Dana Zemtsov, viola (Netherlands)	prize winner of the national competition "Stichting Jong Muziektalent Nederland"
Christoph Croisé, cello (Switzerland)	prize winner of the International Competition of Young Musicians "Petar Konjovic"
Nicolas van Poucke, piano (Netherlands)	prize winner of the national competition "Stichting Jong Muziektalent Nederland"

Due to the illness of pianist Nikola Dragosavac Dutch Nicolas van Poucken joined he tour only three days before it started.

In 2010 the programme includes works by Robert Schumann, Joseph Haydn, Jean Sibelius, but also from lesser known composers such as the Czech Sylvie Bodorová.
