In spite of being postponed in 2009, the Horowitz competition took place in 2010!
This year is famous for some new practices in the Horowitz competition.
After the first round on the 18th of April there was a reception for the all participants of the competition in the National Philharmonic of Ukraine organized by the Administration of the Horowitz competition with the support of the Alink – Argerich Foundation.
At the core of the reception was announcement of the results of the first round and a meeting with jury members. Contestants were able not only to enjoy food and drinks but also to talk to jury members.
It’s the first time in the history of Horowitz competition its participants lived in host families. It’s something new that had never taken place before. Participants from Italy, Japan and the USA were hosted by Ukrainian families.
The positive feedback inspires the competition’s organizers to address to such practice regularly!
The competition’s press group was active providing listeners, admirers with up-to-date diaries and covering the latest interviews with the participants.
