Prize Winners of the 73rd Concurso Permanente de Jóvenes Intérpretes in Banyoles

The jury stressed the high level of the contestants after three days of intense musical activity as the 73rd Concurso Permanente de Jóvenes Intérpretes organised by Jeunesses Musicales de Espana was closed on Sunday 18th April 2010 at the Ateneo de l'Auditori de Banyoles (Girona).

Seven out of 21 made it to the finals. The prize winners are:

| Beatriz Blanco Barriga (22 years), violoncello | |
| 2nd Prize | Bo Kyung Shin (20 years), violin |
| Honorable Prize | Olga González Cárdaba (22 years), viola |
Guitar Category:
Three out of seven made it to the finals. The prize winners are:
| 1st Prize | Isabel María Sánchez Millán (16 years) |
| 2nd Prize | Carlos Alberto Almoril Rojas (21 years) |
The President of the Jury, Carlos Cruz de Castro, noted that it "has been a excellent edition of the contest in quantity and quality of contestants, and also by the flawless organization and the warm welcome of the city of Banyoles."
Jordi Roch, president of Jeunesses Musicales de Espana, thanks the special support of the City Council of Banyoles and asks for appreciation for the "great work of the accompanist who have an excellent and high level."
The mayor of Banyoles, Miquel Noguer, closed the closing ceremony of the competition thanking Jeunesses Musicales de Espana for the trust to be elected for this edition of the competition and urged the contestants to "remember the city and the stay in Banyoles during these difficult days of competition."
The winners have entered the Concert Plan of Jeunesses Musicales de Espana, the only independent music tour that exists in this country with more than 250 concerts every year. JME built a platform for young people to join the professional musicians. In addition, musicians may benefit from international exchange, participate as soloists with the RTVE Symphony Orchestra or even record a CD which will be published in the collection "Jóvenes Intérpretes" by the label Columna Música.
