Stars of Tomorrow Tour 2010
01.07.2010
From the 20th to 29th June 2010 the annual “Stars of Tomorrow” Tour dedicated to the “European Days of Music” of the Bavarian Music Council took place in Southern Bavaria and Austria.
Again prize winners of EMCY Member Competitions elated the audience at every venue they played. This year the musicians were Matouš and Šimon Michal, violin, Czech Republic (International Radio Competition for Young Musicians "Concertino Praga", National Radio Competition of the Czech Republic "Concertino Praga", International Kocian Violin Competition), Dana Zemtsov, viola, Netherlands/Mexico (Stichting Jong Muziektalent Nederland, Eurovision Young Musicians), Christoph Croisé, violoncello, Germany/France (International Competition of Young Musicians ‘Petar Konjovic’, Schweizerischer Jugendmusikwettbewerb) and Nicolas van Poucke, piano, Netherlands (Stichting Jong Muziektalent Nederland).

The pieces played in different chamber music ensembles were from major composers such as Robert Schumann, Joseph Haydn, Jean Sibelius, but also from less known composers such as Czech Sylvie Bodorová.
At the beginning of the tour the young talents worked together on the programme in a workshop at the boarding school Schloss Neubeuern lasting several days and performed then several concerts in Bad Ischl (Austria), Eggenfelden, Passau, Munich and Seefeld. A highlight of the tour was the annual concert within the festival “European Weeks Passau”, this year in the Great Redoutensaal in Passau, which was broadcast by the Bavarian Radio.
