'Music Empowers Global Youth' Project is created by International Music Council, European Music Council and EMCY together with other partner organisations. To participate in this project 7 young people from different countries meet in Paris. They are from Estonia, Brazil, Germany, Turkey, United Kingdom and Sweden. There are 2 parts in this project. In the first part the participants and the leaders attend  UNESCO meetings. The aim of the first part is to show the participants how the decisions are made and how many  NGO”s  there are which to promote the 2005 Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions. In the second part the participants go to different offices in Paris, Bonn, Munich. They learn how organizations work and have idea about what they can do for their future studies and work.

I am Nazlı Korkmaz and I come from Turkey. I applied for this project because I wanted to learn about what we can do as a student and what comes afterwards to create relation between cultures and protecting  them. However this project gave me more than I expected. Now I am in Munich to learn from people who work at EMCY office.
