Aleksandra Hortensja was born in Chrzanów (Poland) and started to play the piano at the age of seven. She graduated 1st level Music School in Krzeszowice and studies currently piano at the W. Żeleński 2nd degree State School of Music in Krakow with Olga Lazarska (Academy of Music in Krakow). She is supervised by the Govermental Foundation for Children and holds grant of The Sapere Auso Foundation from Malopolska and grant of the Trzebinia City Council.

In 2009 she was awarded at VI Polish Piano Festival 'Interpretation of Chopin music by Young musicians' organised by the Chopin Association in accordance to Chopin 2010. She has also won 3rd Prize and special diplomas for the best performance of mazurka and polonaise at the International Competition of Young Pianists dedicated to the Work of Fryderyk Chopin 2010 in Narva (Estonia), 1st Prize at International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition for Children and Young People 2009 in Szafarnia (Poland), 3rd Prize at Halina Czerny-Stefanska National Piano Competition 2009 in Zagan (Poland), 1st Prize at National Piano Competition under the auspices of The Ministry of Culture and National Heritage 2008 in Konin (Poland), 2nd Prize at International Piano Competition 'Chopin for the Youngest' under the auspices of The Ministry of Culture and National Heritage 2008 in Antonin (Poland), 1st Prize at Young Pianist Competition 'Nad Kamienn? 2007' in Skarżysko-Kamienna (Poland), 3rd Prize at International Festival of Contemporary Music for Children and Youth 'Srebrna Szybka' 2006 in Krakow.

Aleksandra often performs at the concerts at 'Dwór Zieleniewskich' in Trzebinia and she has participated at International Piano Workshops in Rzeszów and several master classes in Krakow.
