Alexander was born in Volgograd (Russia) and moved to St Petersburg with his family one year later. He began playing piano when he was 8 years old. Currently he is studying at the school of the Committee of Culture of St Petersburg in the class of Professor Lobikova Irina Igorevna.

Alexander has participated successfully in competitions and master classes in recent years. In 2008 he won 3rd Prize at the International Music Competition 'Sforzando' in Berlin and one year later he was awarded 1st Prize at the Sviridov International Music Competition in St Petersburg. The same year he received 1st Prize and in 2010 2nd Prize at the Sivashinsky International Music Competition in St Petersburg as well as winning the Grand Prix at the Stockholm International Music Competition. In 2010 and 2011 he was granted a Government Scholarship for 'Young Talents' and a diploma at the International Music Competition for Young Pianists 'A Step Towards Mastery' 2011 (St Petersburg). Furthermore he participated in many different concerts and master classes where he worked with Prof Tatiana Zagorovskaya and Alexander Sandler from the St Petersburg Conservatoire and with Prof Oleg Vainshtein from the St Peterburg College.
