Andrey was born in St. Petersburg in the family of musicians and started to play violin at the age of five. In 2004 he graduated the special music school at the St. Petersburg State Conservatory named after N. A. Rimsky Korsakov (class of Prof. V. Y. Ovcharek) and in 2009 the conservatory itself (class of Prof. V. Y. Ovcharek and P. V. Popov). In 2009 he also graduated the Conservatory of Lausanne (class of Prof. P. Amoyal). Since 2009 he’s assistant of Prof. P. Amoyal in the Conservatory of Lausanne.
He won 3rd Prize at the International Competition for Violin, Kloster Schöntal 2001 in Germany, 1st Prize at the International contest 'Symphony' of the young musicians 2002 in Russia, 2nd Prize at the Liana Issakadze International Violin Competition 2003 in Russia, prizes at the International Violin Competition 'Premio Rodolfo Lipizer' 2005, 2006 and 2008 in Italy, 4th Prize at the Senday International Music Competition 2007 in Japan, 5th Prize at the Geongnam International Music Competition 2007 in Korea, 1st Prize at the B. Britten International Violin Competition 2008 in London, 1st Prize at the H. Marteau International Violin Competition 2008 in Germany, 2nd Prize at the China International Violin Competition 2008, 2nd Prize at the Seoul International Music Competition 2009 in South Korea, 2nd Prize at the Unisa International String Competition 2010 in South Africa, 2nd Prize at the Senday International Music Competition 2010 in Japan, 6th Prize at the International Violin Competition of Indianapolis 2010 in USA and 3rd Prize at the Moscow International David Oistrakh Violin Competition 2010.
Andrey has given many concerts in Europe (Austria, Germany, Switzerland, France, England and Monaco) and performed as a soloist with various orchestras, including St. Petersburg's Philharmonic Orchestra under Vasiliy Petrenko, Krasnoyarsk Philharmonic Orchestra under Mark Kadin, Hof Symphonic Orchestra under Johannes Wildner and David Afkham, Senday Philharmonic Orchestra under Kazufumi Yamashita, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra under Volodimir Sirenko, 'Paul Constantunescu' Philharmonic Orchestra under Ovidiu Balan and Qingdao Symphonic Orchestra under Li Xincao.
He has participated in various festivals and master classes, for example Bad Kissingen Summer Festival, Holland Music Sessions, Bavarian Music Academy Marktoberdorf, Academy of Lausanne, International Summer Academy in Salzburg and had lessons from H. Zehetmair, G. Pauk, R. Koelman, B. Kushnir, V. Gradov, L. Issakadze and T. Papavrami.
Andrey plays on a violin by Andrea Guarneri (1682) kindly loaned by Florian Leonhard Fine Violins.
