Bálint Lovász was born in Bratislava, Slovakia. He has played the piano since the age of nine and is finishing his second-level piano education at Štefan Németh Šamorínsky Elementary Art School in Šamorín under the leadership of Erika Domsitzová this year.

Up until the age of 16 it was only the art school mentioned above where he had studied music, but then he was granted the “Talents of a New Europe” scholarship by the Central European Foundation. Due to this scholarship, he participated in a mastercourse in Tamási, Hungary under the supervision of Prof. Lívia Rév from France, Prof. Ludmilla Lazar from the USA and Prof. Ábrahám Mariann from Hungary and subsequently in a mastercourse led by Prof. Lívia Rév in Paris. During a mastercourse in Komárno, Slovakia in 2010 he worked under the leadership of Zuzana Čižmarovičová from Köln, Germany.

In Slovakia he has taken part in almost every competition organised for music school students. He won the national contest 'Klavírna Orava 2007' in Dolný Kubín and was the laureate of 'Nitrianská lutna' in Nitra. Additionally, apart from becoming the laureate of the EMCY competition 'Mladí klaviristi 2007', he also received a special prize for the best performance of a piece by a Slovak composer.

He was undefeated twice at the EMCY competition 'Klavírna súťaž Pála Kadosu' in Levice, Slovakia in 2007 and 2009, was the finalist of the Bartók Béla piano competition in Budapest, Hungary in 2008 and won the international Chopin piano competition in Győr, Hungary. He represented Slovakia at the international Jenő Takács performance contest in Oberschützen, Austria. His achievements were even recognised by the Minister of Education as he was presented with the Memorial Diploma of St. Gorazd in 2005.

In 2011 he was admitted to the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava.

Bálint was invited by EMCY to perform in two concerts in North-Rhine Westphalia (Germany) in March 2012.
