Christoph Croisé was born in December 1993 in Filderstadt (Germany). He lives in Switzerland with a German/French dual-citizenship. He started playing the cello at the age of seven with Katharina Kühne-Schwarz. He has since become a passionate player of classical music but is equally fascinated by all types of music from classical to popular music. His current teacher is the Russian cellist Alexander Neustroev. In recent years he has participated in youth music competitions and collected some top prizes. Apart from playing the cello, he also enjoys greatly playing the piano and chess.
He won 1st Prize at the Swiss Music Competition for Youth 2006 for cello solo, 1st Prize at the Swiss Music Competition for Youth 2007 with the final round for duo violin and cello, 1st Prize with special mention at the Swiss Music Competition for Youth 2008 for cello solo, 1st Prize with special mention at the Swiss Music Competition for Youth 2009 for trio (piano, violin and cello) and 1st Prize at the International Competition of Young Musicians 'Petar Konjovic' 2009 in Belgrad as youngest participant in its category (cello solo 15-18 years old). In 2010 he won the IBLA Grand Prize Competiton in Sicily.
He has been a member of the Youth Symphonic Orchestra Zürich between 2006 and 2009. He has also discovered the joys and challenges of performing chamber music.
Since 2009 he has participated in master classes by Wen-Sinn Yang, Ana Chumachenco, Yvan Chiffoleau and David Geringas.
Christoph also participated in EMCY's "Stars of Tomorrow" Tour 2010.
