Emil was born in Galanta, Slovakia. When he was eight years old he became a viola student at the conservatoire in Bratislava, taught by Professor Marian Band.

Despite being so young he has won awards at several different competitions. In 2010 he was a prize winner at the international competition 'Talents for Europe' in Dolny Kubin. As a soloist he has performed concerts with the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra in Bratislava and the State Chamber Orchestra in Žilina.
