Florian was born in Lausanne. At the age of seven he began playing the trumpet with Patrick Chappuis as his tutor. In 2004 his family moved to Schlieren (a part of Zürich), and since then he is taught by Laurent Tinguely, the solo trumpeter of the Opera-Orchestra Zürich. In 2009 Florian was accepted into the conservatoire of Zürich. Along that he started playing the piano.

Currently he plays in the Jugendsinfonie-Orchester Zürich and the Stadtharmonie Zürich Oerlikon Seebach.

Florian began very early to participate in many competitions and won them regularly. His most important success was the Prix Musique 2010, where he was a finalist. He was also awarded the 2nd Prize at the Schweizerischer Jugendmusikwettbewerb in Lugano in 2005, the 1st Prize at the Schweizerischer Jugendmusikwettbewerb in Lugano in 2009, and the 1st Prize at the Schweizerischer Jugendmusikwettbewerb in Basel in 2011.
