Ivett was born in Vásárosnamény (Hungary). She began piano studies at the age of seven with Erzsébet Antalovszky and won the first piano competition already at the age of nine. Since 2005 she studies at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music with Attila Némethy and Balázs Szokolay.

She has won several prizes at national and international competitions: 1st Prize and the Art-Prize at the National György Ferenczy Piano Competition 2005 in Budapest; 1st Prize, the Mozart Prize, the Special Prize of the Embassy of Austria, and the Special Prize of the chairman of the jury at the International Chopin Piano Competition 2006 in Budapest; 2nd Prize at the Steinway International Competition 2006 in Hamburg; 1st prize, the Grand Prize and the Special Prize at the International Chopin Piano Competition 2008 in Budapest and in 2009 she won the Georges Cziffra International Piano Competition in Austria as the youngest competitor. In 2010 she was appointed 'Young Steinway Artist' by Steinway & Sons and was awarded 1st Prize and the EMCY Prize at the International Vladimir Krainev Young Pianists Competition in Kharkov (Ukraine).

Yvett made her professional orchestra debut at the Grand Hall of the Franz Liszt Academy of Music at the age of 15 with the Danubia Orchestra. She has appeared several times on television and radio transmissions. She also has participated at the Tiszadob International Piano Festival 2007 and in the master classes with Tamás Vásáry, Gottlieb Wallisch, Alexander Strukov, Imre Rohmann, Gergely Bogányi, Jenó Jandó and Zoltán Kocsis.

Ivett was chosen by EMCY and Romanian Radio to perform a solo concerto in the EuroRadio Youth Concert 2012 in Bucharest.
