Josep-Ramon was born in Barcelona (Spain) and started his musical education in the 'Escolania de Montserrat'. In June 2010 he finished his studies of Choral Conduction in the ESMuC (Catalonia Advanced School of Music) with Josep Vila and Johan Duijck. Currently he’s studying Classical Singing at the same university with the mezzo-soprano Mireia Pintó, with whom he has taken classes for 4 years. He has also studied lied classes both for vocalist and pianist with Assumpta Mateu, Francisco Poyato, Mireia Pintó and Alan Branch.

He has been able to work with great conductors like Jordi Mora, Sigiswald Kuijken, Lluís Vilamajó, Jordi Savall, Salvador Mas, Gorka Sierra and Michael Thomas. As a soloist he has given concerts accompanied by the Victoria Youth Orchestra, the Catalan Baroque Orchestra, the University of Barcelona Orchestra, the Almeria City Orchestra and the Vespres d’Arnadí Orchestra.

In 2008 Josep-Ramon won the 1st Competition for young singers organised by the Catalan Association of Singing Teachers and participated in a recording of Joaquim Nin-Culmell’s popular songs organised by the Victoria de los Ángeles Foundation, with the pianist Alan Branch. One year later he received 1st Prize at the Competition of lyric singing of Premià de Mar in Barcelona (Spain). In the same year, in 2010 and 2011 Josep-Ramon received a fellowship from the Victoria de los Ángeles Foundation. In November 2010 he performed a recording with La Xantria Ensemble and the Vespres d’Arnadí Orchestra. He was awarded the 'Young Talent’s Award' at the Mirabent i Magrans Singing Competition and won 2nd Prize at the Concurso Permanente de Jóvenes Intérpretes de 'Juventudes Musicales de España', both in 2011.

Usually he works together with groups such as the Collegium Vocale of Gent & Philippe Herreweghe and the Capella Reial de Catalunya (Jordi Savall). In September 2011 he joined the Ambronay European Baroque Academy singing the Mass in B minor by J. S. Bach, under Sigiswald Kujken. Josep-Ramon also made his debut in the Liceu Theatre of Barcelona with a concert organised by the Victoria de los Ángeles Foundation.
