Kenji was born in Dudelange (Luxembourg) and started playing the trumpet at the age of seven with Joel Sand as his first tutor. Three years later he continued his studies with Michel Berns, solo trumpeter of the Military Band Luxembourg.
In 2008 Kenji participated successfully in the European Competition for Young Soloists in Luxembourg winning a gold medal. Three years later he was awarded the ‘Prix SACEM’ and the EMCY Prize at the same competition.
Kenji is a member of the National Youth Wind Orchestra Luxembourg and the Brass Band of the Conservatoire de la ville d’Esch-sur-Alzette (Luxembourg).
