Lovro Peretić is a third-year student at the music school 'Pavla Markovca' in Zagreb with Prof. Xhevdet Sahatxhija. He is one of the best guitarists of the youngest generation, which is confirmed by excellent results from national and international competitions (17 first prizes).
Lovro is a triple winner of the national competition in 2007, 2009. and 2011, a double absolute winner of the international competition Morski Festival Gitare in Slovenia, also a double winner of the Mauro Giuliani Competition in Gorizia (Italy). At the international competition Split Guitar Festival 2007 he won the 1st Prize. At the prestigious international competition Andres Segovia in Velbert (Germany) he won the 1st Prize in 2008 and the 3rd Prize in 2010. At the Anna Amalia Competition for Young Guitarists in Weimar (Germany) he won 2nd Prize in 2007 and 1st Prize in 2011. In 2011 he won the 1st Prize at the competition of the Sarajevo International Guitar Festival. As a duo with guitarist Nikica Polegubić he won the 1st Prize at the national competition for chamber music in Opatija in 2008 and 2009, also the 1st Prize at the Mauro Giuliani competition in Gorizia in 2009. In 2008 with his sister Lea Peretić, also a guitarist, he represented Croatia in The Vladimir Spivakov International Charity Foundation in Moscow (Russia), performing on Moscow television and giving a concert in the Croatian embassy.
Lovro regulary attends the International Summer School of Prof. Xhevdet Sahatxhija on the Croatian island Brač. He also attended master classes with Ana Vidović, Zoran Dukić, Stefan Trifan and Maroje Brčić. Lovro played with the charity foundation of Ana Rukavina. He also played on the television programmes Dobro jutro, Hrvatska, Dan za danom and Majstori svirači of HRT. In 2007, 2009 and 2011 Lovro received recognitions of the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports for excellent achievements.
