Mikhail Kambarov was born in 2000. Since 2007, he has been studying in the class of Natalia Nikolaevna at the Balakirev Music School in Nizhny Novgorod (Russia). Mikhail made his debut at the age of seven when he performed with the Nizhny Novgorod Philharmonic Orchestra. He has been a laureate at the International Competition-Festival of the International Charity Program ‘New Names’ in 2008, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014. In 2009, he received a scholarship from the Governor of Nizhny Novgorod, V. P. Shantsev, for his participation in ‘New Names’. He has also participated in the music project ‘Youth Assembly’ and the Yuzhnouralsk-Salzburg Festival in Salzburg (Austria) in 2014.

Mikhail has won number of national and international music competitions, including: 1st prize at the International Competition in Italy (2009); Grand Prix at the International Competition on Videos ‘Music Vernissage in Magnitogorsk (Russia) (2013), 1st prize of the Russian Competition of Young Pianists Named after N. G. Lavrentieva (2008); and winner of the International Competition of Contemporary Music in Switzerland (Fribourg 2014).
