Mohammed Alshaikh was born in Russia. He started studying the piano at 9 years old in the Barenboim Said Foundation music school in Ramallah. In 2013 he started studying at the Magnificat institute for music in Jerusalem where he is continuing his studies with Emma Spitkovsky.

Mohammed won many competitions. In 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 he was awarded the 1st prize in his category at the Magnificat Nikolaus de la Flüe Piano Competition in Jerusalem.

In 2014, he won the 1st prize at the 4th Chopin Piano Competition in Bethlehem as well as the 1st prize at the Palestine National Music Competition Chopin.

Mohammed played several concerts. In 2014 he played in Turin and Varese (Italy). In 2015 he played at the XII International Festival ‘Moscow Meet Friends’ under the direction of Vladimir Spivakov. He also performed at the concert ‘Sobinovskaya Estafeta’ in the Saratov State Conservatory of L.V.Sobinova. He gave a recital in Venice and Varese (Italy) and played two recitals in Tel Aviv and Kfar-Saba (Israel). He was interviewed on the 1st Israeli channel and he performed at Arie Vardy's Program Intermezzo the same year.

In 2016 he was warded the 1st prize in his category at the International Competition of Young Pianists dedicated to the Work of Fryderyk Chopin.
