From 2002 until 2006 Oskar studied with Prof. Dejan Prešiček at the Secondary School of Music and Ballet, Ljubljana, Slovenia. This was followed by studies with Prof. Matjaž Drevenšek at the Academy of Music, Ljubljana, Slovenia until 2010. In 2010 Oskar started studying with Prof. Daniel Gauthier at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln, Germany. Oskar was awarded with numerous prizes, including the following ones: gold plaquette and 2nd Prize at the Slovenian National Competition (chamber music, 2003), 1st Prize at the International Competition in Arenzano, Italy (chamber music, 2003), 1st Prize at the International Saxophone Competition in Nova Gorica, Slovenia(2003), 1st Prize at the International Saxophone Competition in Gap, France (-16 years, 2003), 1st Prize and special award for best interpretation of obligatory piece at the Slovenian National Competition (2004), 1st Prize and special award for best interpretation of piece by choice at the International Saxophone Competition in Gap, France (-18 years, 2005), 1st Prize, special award for best interpretation of obligatory piece and special award for best interpretation of piece by choice at the International Saxophone Competition in Nova Gorica, Slovenia (2007), gold plaquette and 2nd Prize at the Slovenian National Competition (2010) and 3rd Prize at the International Saxophone Competition in Nova Gorica, Slovenia (2011).
