Pascal began to take French horn lessons with Heiner Krause when he was six years old. Four years later he moved to Stefan Ruf at the music academy in Basel. Since 2010, Pascal is part of Christian Lampert’s horn class for students preparing for conservatoire studies.

Pascal has won numerous prizes at the Swiss National Youth Music Competition in ensembles as well as a soloist. In 2011 he received the first prize 'with distinction' at the final competition and several special prizes: a concert appearance at the festival 'Schloss Werdenberg' and an engagement as a soloist with the Zurich Chamber Orchestra. Recently he was accepted by the Ruth and Ernst Burkhalter Foundation which supports orchestra projects in which talented young musicians can perform as soloists. In the summer of 2011 Pascal won the first prize at the International Horn Competition 'Frederica di Svevia' in Sannicandro di Bari.
