At the age of nine, Paul started to play the cello at the Music School of Genk in the class of Anthony Gröger. Since 2004, he was a member of the Young Talents Programme of this school.
Already at a young age, he participated in the Kuhmo Chamber music Festival in Finland and took master classes in Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands.
In 2008, Paul was selected to play solo with the Youth and Music Orchestra of Limburg and became prizewinner in the Dexia Classics competition. In 2010 he won a Golden Medal with congratulations of the jury at the Concours Luxembourgeois et Européen pour Jeunes Solistes.
Paul is a member of the orchestra Symphonia Assai, which is led by Wouter Lenaerts. With other orchestras, Paul played under conductors such as Michel Tabachnik, Edmond Saveniers and Arjan Tien and performed already in the Het Concertgebouw Brugge, the Flagey Brussels, the de Bijloke Gent and in the Muziekgebouw Frits Philips Eindhoven.
Since 2006, Paul studies at the Conservatoire of Maastricht with Mirel Iancovici.
