Sergey was born in Smolensk (Russia). He started to play oboe at the age of seven and studies since 2005 at the Gnessin State Musical College in a class of Prof. A. Ljubimov.

He won 1st Prize at the 'Open Europe' 2004 in Moscow, 1st Prize at the international competition 'Music World' 2004 in Fivizzano (Italy), 1st Prize at the national competition 'Blazhevich' 2005 in Moscow, 1st Prize at the A. Ljubimov national competition 2008, 1st Prize at the international competition 'Where art is born' 2009 in Krasnodar and 3rd Prize and special EMCY Prize at the Mravinsky International Competition for Youth 2010 in St. Petersburg. He received also a national award in the field of arts 'Triumph' in 2007.

Sergey participated in international festivals like 'Colmar International Music Festival' in 2007, 'Moscow meets friends' in 2008 and 2009, and 'Rising stars in the Kremlin' in 2009, and in master classes with Washington Barella, Nicholas Daniel and Jean Louis Capezzali.

He performed as the soloist with 'Virtuoses of Moscow', National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia under V. Spivakov, the Big Symphony Orchestra under V. Fedoseyev, Chamber Orchestra of the Moscow Philharmonic Society under K. Orbeljan, Moscow Symphony Orchestra under A. Berin, and chamber orchestra 'Seasons'. He is a member of the Youth Symphony Orchestra under V. Spivakov.

Sergey has given concerts in Italy, Spain, Germany, France, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Austria, Netherlands, Turkey, Israel, United Kingdom, Canada and USA, and has played for example in the Big Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, in the Svetlanov Hall of the Moscow International House of Music, Barbican Hall in London, George Weston Recital Hall in Toronto, and Konzerthaus Berlin.

Currently he is studying at the Basel Music Academy in Switzerland, under Professor Emanuel Abbuhl.

Sergey was invited by EMCY to perform in two concerts in North-Rhine Westphalia (Germany) in March 2012.
