Thibaut was born in Toulouse (France). He started playing the guitar in 2001 with Mr. Robb Storar in Saint-Orens de Gameville. In 2002 he was accepted in the regional conservatoire of Toulouse in the guitar class of Mr. Marc Navarro. Since 2005 he has been studying guitar in the regional conservatoire of Toulouse with Mr. Paul Ferret who is a former student of Alexandre Lagoya.

In September 2011 he was admitted to begin his postgraduate studies in the CNSMDP (Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris). In 2008 he won the 1st Prize in the international competition in Valle de Eguës (Spain). In 2010 he became the regional laureate of the competition of the 'Lions Club' association, which took place in Dijon (France). He then obtained the 3rd Prize of this national competition. In 2011 he won the 1st Prize at the Anna Amalia for Young Guitarists Competition in Weimar, the Prize of the Rotenburg festival and the EMCY Prize. Thibaut has attended master classes with Olivier Chassain, Philippe Azoulay, Judicael Perroy, Jeremy Jouve, Raymond Gratien, Atahualpa Ferly, Christophe Louboutin and Daniel Lavialle.

He has given some concerts in Toulouse both as a soloist as well as a chamber musician (guitar-cello-violin trio).
