Tjasa was born in Maribor (Slovenia) and started her musical career at music school in Maribor with Professor Andrej Lorber. She succesfully finished Conservatoire of Music in accordion (Prof. Andrej Lorber) and saxophone (Prof. Matjaž Lorenci). In 2007 she entered the University of Music Graz (Kunstuniversität Graz) in the class of Prof. Janne Rättyä (accordion).

During her studies she won 1st Prize at the TEMSIG-Slovenian Music Competition for Youth (Slovenia) in 2005 in accordion. She also recieved a reward from Dr. Roman Klasinc for special artistic achievements in 2007. In 2011 she won 1st Prize at TEMSIG-Slovenian Music Competition for Youth, 1st Prize at the Internet Music Competetion and she was fourth at the International Accordion Competition Arrasate Hiria in Spain in 2010.

Tjaša participated in different projects such as ORF – Österreichische Radio, Contemporary Classical Music Concerts, Impuls - Academy for Contemporary Music, Meet the Composer and others. She has also played in chamber and orchestral ensembles. Since 2011 Tjaša has been studying with Prof. Mie Miki in Essen (Germany).
