The Trio con Spirito (violinist Jinhee Joung, cellist Kwang-Jun Jung and pianist Jin Young-Sun), founded in 2008 in Berlin, has given many concerts in Germany and abroad. They have also successfully participated in various competitions, for example the trio won 2nd Prize at the Charles Hennen Concours: International Chamber Music Competition for Strings in Netherlands in 2010. The trio has participated in master classes of the Trio Jean Paul, Prof. Tim Vogler, Stefan Metz, George Sava, Gert von Bulow, Werner Scholz, Birgitta Wollenweber and Frank Immo Zichner. Currently, the trio studies with Prof. Frolian Wiek at the Musikhochschule in Stuttgart.
Jinhee Joung (violin), born in 1982 in Seoul, finished his Bachelor studies at Seoul National University in 2006. After that he has studied at the Leipzig Conservatory with Prof. Carolin Widmann and at the Musikhochschule in Rostock Prof. Werner Scholz. He has won several national competitions and received the 3rd Prize and the Special Prize at the International Violin Competition ‘Queen Sophie Charlotte’. He has participated in numerous master classes and performed with different orchestras as a soloist or concert master.
Kwang-Jun Jung (cello), born in 1984 in Seoul, finished his studies at the Musikhochschule Lübeck with Prof. Tröls Svane in 2009. After that he started cello-studies at the Conservatoire National de Region de Toulouse in the class of Prof. Lluis Claret. He has won several national competitions as a soloist and chamber musician in Korea and performed several times as a soloist with orchestra.
Young-Sun Jin (piano), born in 1982 in Korea, started to play piano at the age of four. After finishing the Bachelor studies at the Kook-min University in 2004, she has studied at the Musikhochschule Hanns Eisler in Berlin with Jürgen Schöder, Brigitta Wollenweber und Georg Sava. She has also won several national and international competitions for solo piano and participated in master classes of Menaham Pressler, Matthias Kirschnereit, Michael Endres and Oliver Kern.
