Vasily Belyavin was born in Yekaterinburg. At the age of six he began to attend musical classes at the M. Glinka Children's Music School No. 2 and was taught by N. Sharapova. Since 2007, he has been studying at the Ural Music College of the Ural State Conservatoire named after Mussorgsky, in the class of Professor Vadim Kudinov.
From the age of eight years, he has been participating in different children's festivals and competitions.
In 2002, he became an award winner of the International Television Competition Young Musicians 'Nutcracker' in Moscow; he won the 3rd Prize at the all-Russian festival-competition 'Siberian Music Bands' in Novosibirsk, 2005; became the 3rd Prize Winner of the open all-Russian festival-competition 'Siberian Music Bands'; in 2006, he was awarded with the Grand Prix of the 3rd Open Competition 'Sounds of Hope' (Nizhny Novgorod) and the International Competition of Young Performers '21st Century Art' (Kiev, Ukraine).
In 2008, he was awarded with the 2nd Prize of the International Children's Competition 'Origins of Art' in Krasnodar, Russia. In 2009, he became the Grand Prix Winner of the International Festival-Competition 'Yuzhnouralsk- Salzburg'.
He is the 3rd Prize Winner of the international competition 'Modern Art and Education', Moscow, 2009.
He has participated in the international festival 'Moscow Meets Friends', organized by the International Charity Foundation of Vladimir Spivakov.
As a solo performer he has performed with the Academic Symphonic Orchestra of the Saint-Petersburg Philharmonic, conducted by Yury Temirkanov, at the 1st and 2nd international festivals 'Step Forward'.
