Dionysis Grammenos in rehearsals with the Norwegian Radio Orchestra for the EuroRadio Youth Concert 2009 in Oslo
"The experience of that concert was very special to me because I felt like sharing the music not only with the audience but also with the musicians of the orchestra! I was overjoyed that I performed not only for the audience who was there, in front of me, but also for an “invisible” audience through the radio broadcast."
Dionysis Grammenos (clarinet, Greece), EuroRadio Youth Concert 2009, Oslo
"The concert with Norwegian Radio Symphony Orchestra was a fantastic experience for me! Thanks to EMCY, I had the opportunity to present myself in the part of the world where people have never heard about me, nor my playing. This performance gave me a shot to play with one of the best orchestras and to cooperate with Maestro Ari Rasilainen, and for a young performer as I am, this was very important. The fact that the concert was live broadcasted in countries around Europe makes this performance one of the most significant ones in my career."

Ville Hiilivirta and the conductor Joana Carneiro rehearsing with the Gulbenkian Orchestra for the EuroRadio Youth Concert 2008 in Lisbon
"Although I did have lots of fun in Lisbon, the absolute highlight of my stay there was no doubt the concert in the acoustically wonderful hall of the Gulbenkian Foundation. As a horn player I rarely get the opportunity to play with an orchestra, let alone with a top level one as the Gulbenkian Orchestra. And when the audience is as warm and welcoming as what we had, what more could a musician want!"
Ville Hiilivirta (French Horn, Finland), EuroRadio Youth Concert 2008, Lisbon
